Obeying his parents wishes, in 1995 Flavio continued his studies, and completed a degree in Information Systems. In 2001, Flavio returned back to DJing activities putting his education, maturity and determination to establish himself as a DJ in his hometown. It was no easy task where his signature trance style was a stranger in his city. Flavio went on to become a trance pioneer in his hometown, energized by his passion for the trance genre.

He started his journey slowly, first DJ'ing at communities radio stations in São Luís city, his birth city. His work was great and Flávio grifo was soon invited to DJ for Big Radios in Brazil as Jovem Pan, Mirante FM from Rede Globo, + FM, and other big commercial radio stations. In Maranhão State, he is Resident in Zuada Program for Mirante FM on Saturdays nights, and he was Na Balada Resident in Jovem pan Radio from his city. Flavio was DJing in Big Events such as Kitaro Beats, Rave Moon, Celebration, The Party of Electronic music (Mirante FM Birthday), Maranhão pop music, Eco Festival, Electron Beach, N.A.T.I.V.I.T.Y., PPP in Belém City, Clubs and Pubs how Studio 7, Fabrica, Lythium (Belém City), State of Trance (SOT) in São Paulo City With the mosted important Brazilian DJs, Xmotion, Safari with Infected Mushroom and John OO Flaming, and another Clubs and parties.
